The Best Site
You Tube is definitely one of the best sites on the Internet. I love it because it is very interactive and it is very entertaining. There are certainly a lot of other websites that compete with YouTube, but I do not know that any of them is nearly as interactive and entertaining as YouTube is.
I presented this pro-youtube argument to my mom, but she disagreed with me. She said there are plenty of sites on the Internet that are better for entertainment than youtube. She said that she knew about them, but that she did not want to tell me about htem. I think that my mom was lying and that she was just joking around with me for taking YouTube so seriously. I thought about telling my dad that my mom would not tell me something but I do not want to seem like a little squeal. Instead, I just argued back with my mom. I know youtube is the best, and I had a great argument supporting my theory.
I told my Mom that YouTube was one of the fastest growing sites and that it had 1 million users every single day that are totally new. I then told my mom that the videos on YouTube have surpassed the number of videos in movie theaters and on the TV screen every day. My mom could not believe that so many people are watching videos on the Internet. She argued that people only watch the videos because they are so short. But then I taught my mom about all of the multiple shows that are available on You Tube. I thought at this point I had won the argument because every time I’m on to something she ended up being wrong. Then my mom told me that she did not care because people could not watch movies on the Internet, and if movies are not available, there is no way it is the best platform for entertainment.
I almost jumped out of my shoes when she said this because I had a great example of watching a movie on YouTube. In fact, I had to watched a movie on YouTube with my friends the night before our conversation. We went to go to a movie but did not have enough money to afford the exorbitant ticket prices. So we logged into You Tube and searched for the movies we watned to see to see. We do not think that it would be on there but it turns out that it was on there. We watched a movie in 10 different. Every part that we watched was 10 min. Long and it was really not a nuisance at all to switch between one part to the other when each video ended. I showed my mom example of the and she finally agreed that may be used is decidedly. Then, she admitted that she did not have any other sites in mind when she visited her argument.
So frustrating to have these kinds of conversations with my mom when she is just trying to be the devils advocate. I do not know why she insists on disagreeing with me when she knows that I’m right. I think it is because she wants to help me develop argumentative skills because she wants me to be a lawyer when I get older. I want to be a You Tube video creator when I grow up. I did not tell my mom because I know that it would freak her out and make her very scared for my future. But it is secretly what I aspire to do and I think that I’m going to be able to succeed at that very well.
